Delete your Treeling data
Your data, your call. Treeling has two places where data lives: your phone and our server, the Creative Coders Hub.
On your phone
- Open Treeling and tap Settings (the gear, top right).
- Tap Delete my data.
- Note your friend code shown there if you also want server data deleted.
- Tap Reset this device and confirm.
This erases your trees, progress, items and settings on this phone and unlinks it from your anonymous player. The game starts fresh as a new player. Uninstalling the app also removes the data stored on your phone.
Subscriptions are not cancelled by resetting or deleting your account. Manage them in your Apple or Google Play account. Restore purchases can recover eligible purchases, but not spent gems or deleted progress.
On our server
Your cloud save, profile, social relationships and, if you use Nearby, your approximate 5 km square are linked to an anonymous player ID. Delete the account from the app:
- Open Settings → Delete my data → Delete account and data.
- Read the confirmation and tap Delete account. This cannot be undone.
- The app turns Nearby off, deletes your anonymous account on the hub, then resets this device after the server confirms success. If it cannot confirm deletion, your local account and progress remain so you can retry.
You can also email support with your friend code, shown in Settings → Delete my data or on the Friends screen. We respond without undue delay and within one month at most.
Email a deletion requestLost your code because you already reset the game? Tell us roughly when you played and the profile name you used. Because players are anonymous, we may not be able to find your data without the code.
What stays
- Real trees stay planted 🌳 Certificates on Tree-Nation are public records of planted trees. We can ask our planting partner Tree-Nation to change the name on your certificate.
- Limited purchase and planting records may be retained separately from your deleted account for transaction integrity, fraud prevention and legal or accounting obligations. Apple and Google retain their own purchase records.
- Gameplay statistics are detached from your deleted player identifier and retained in anonymised form.
- GPS-derived coordinates are not saved. If you selected a city, its name, country and city coordinates are removed with your settings and cloud save.
- Nearby: if you turned on Nearby, the hub keeps only an approximate 5 km square and your tree summary. Turning Nearby off, deleting your account or resetting this device deletes them at once, and they expire on their own 7 days after the game last updated them.
- Ads data is handled by Google. Review advertising or tracking permissions in your device’s privacy settings, and change your ad consent in Treeling → Settings → Ad privacy options.
